Modest rates and genuinely no cap — Citi's own words are "No minimum spend, No retail purchases excluded and No caps (up to monthly credit limit)". The fee is the part worth reading: free in year one, and from year two waived unless you spend under AED 9,000 in the year, in which case it is AED 300. Utility bills paid through Citibank's own online, mobile or phone channels earn nothing, and nor does spend above your credit limit within a statement cycle. The 3% is on non-AED spending of any kind, not on travel merchants — it is filed under travel because that is where the app can hold it, and it applies to every foreign-currency purchase.
