The cheap SHAMS card, and it keeps the headline: 10 Wala'a on dining and travel, the same rate as the Infinite, behind a quarter of its dining ceiling. 10 Wala'a Rewards a dirham on dining and on flight and hotel bookings — DIB prices that itself as 5% back, which puts a Wala'a Reward at half a fil, and its welcome bonus does the same arithmetic again. Each of those two has its own monthly ceiling: 5,000 Wala'a on dining, 10,000 on travel. Everything else in dirhams earns 1.5, anything in another currency 2.0, and the EEA 0.3. Supermarkets, telecoms, education, petrol, government, takaful, car dealers, transport and real estate earn 0.3 — a fifth to a sixth of ordinary spending, so a grocery shop is among the cheapest things you can buy with it. Utility and government bills paid through DIB's own platforms earn nothing at all, and nor do foreign currency, money orders, deposits, cryptocurrency, prepaid cards, wire transfers or charity. Free in year one, and free afterwards on AED 15,000 of annual spending. Source: dib.ae's own page for the card, read 19 Sep 2026.
