Emirates NBD pays 5% in Plus Points on a single purchase of AED 5,000 or more, 2% between AED 2,500 and AED 4,999, and 1% below that — so for most people, most of the time, this is a 1% card. It is also 1% on supermarkets and groceries, insurance, car dealerships, fuel, utilities, real estate, charity, education, fast food, transit, government and telecoms, and on anything bought in the European Union. Which means the reduced list and the ordinary rate are the same number: there is no category on this card that pays less than a small purchase does. The percentages are the bank's own, valuing a Plus Point at a dirham; this app ranks at the 0.75 a point is worth as statement credit, so its figures are lower.
