Five Mashreq Vantage points a dirham on anything bought in another currency, three on dining and supermarkets, one on other local spending and half a point on government payments, utilities, education, charity, fuel, rent and telecoms. At Mashreq's cashback rate of 380 points to the dirham that is about 1.3% abroad and 0.8% on a grocery shop. No points at all on utility bills paid through the Mashreq app or online banking; the same bill paid at the provider earns the reduced rate. Mashreq prices the points in the same document: 380 to the dirham as cashback in the app, 303 for an Amazon.ae gift card or at a Mashreq terminal, 288 for a noon gift card. Everything below is measured at the cashback rate, because that is the route with nothing attached to it. The airline conversions are far worse and are not what this values — 32 points for one Skywards Mile, 22 for an Etihad Guest Mile, 17 for an Avios. Mashreq does not state this card's annual fee on its range page; the figure here came from public comparison sources and should be confirmed.
