RAKBANK World cashback rate, cap and annual fee

RAKBANK World pays 10% on travel — on the first AED 4,000 you spend on it each month, which is where the AED 400 cap stops it. Nothing at all below AED 10,000 of spending a month — AED 120,000 across a year. The card costs AED 997.50 a year.

The condition that decides this card is not in any of its advertising and is stated plainly in RAKBANK's Key Fact Statement: spend under AED 10,000 in a month and you earn nothing at all — not a reduced rate, nothing. Above it the 10% on travel, supermarkets and dining is real, with its own ceiling on each: AED 400 of travel cashback a month, AED 300 of supermarkets, AED 300 of dining. Ordinary retail is 1% and e-wallet top-ups 3%, sharing one AED 250 ceiling. Government, bills, schools, transport, telecoms, real estate and fuel earn 0.25% and share an AED 50 ceiling between them. Nothing bought through RAKBANK's own app, website, phone line or ATMs earns anything. Cashback has to reach AED 300 before it can be redeemed at all. Free in year one; AED 997.50 from the second year unless the previous year's spending reached AED 100,000. This entry previously read "the bank will not say" — the product page publishes only the headline rates, and the Key Fact Statement publishes every condition above. Source: RAKBANK's own Key Fact Statement for the card, read 19 Sep 2026. RAKBANK publishes five separate ceilings rather than one, and they add up to AED 1,300 of cashback a month, which is the card-wide figure recorded here. The AED 250 is shared between ordinary retail and e-wallet top-ups, and the AED 50 between all seven of the reduced categories, so heavy spending in two of them at once earns less than the rules below suggest.
