Avant Money Everyday+ cashback rate, cap and annual fee

Avant Money Everyday+ pays 1% on groceries — on the first EUR 2,500 you spend on it each month, which is where the EUR 25 cap stops it.

The only Irish credit card that pays cashback on everyday spending, and the headline rate is a first-year rate. Avant Money: "5% cashback on grocery and fuel purchases up to a maximum of EUR 25 per month for the first 12 months", then 1%, and 0.1% on all other retail spend at any time. The rates shown here are the ones that apply after the first year. Avant's own pages disagree about year two: its FAQ says 1% after the first 12 months, the card's page says "reduced to 1% on grocery purchases" only, so fuel is shown here at the 0.1% everything-else rate rather than a 1% the card page does not promise. Grocery means supermarkets, convenience stores, bakeries, butchers and dairy shops (MCC 5411, 5499, 5462, 5451, 5422, 5441); pay-at-the-pump fuel is excluded from the fuel code. Cashback is capped at EUR 25 a month. Avant charges the EUR 30 government stamp duty and refunds it the same day, so the card costs nothing to hold. A 2.65% commission applies to transactions made outside the Eurozone. Source: avantmoney.ie Everyday+ page and credit card FAQ, read 24 Sep 2026.
