The 18% is real and is not a rate you can plan around. DBS builds it in layers: 0.5% base at yuu merchants, plus 4.5% bonus with no minimum, plus a further 13% only in a calendar month where you spend at least S$800 AND transact at four different participating merchants. The standing rate, the one that arrives whatever you do, is 5% at yuu merchants and 0.25% everywhere else — which is what this entry prices. The bonus half is capped at S$144 of rebates a month, so even a month that clears both hurdles stops there. Participating merchants are Cold Storage, CS Fresh, Jasons Deli, Giant, Giant Hypermart, Giant Express, Guardian, 7-Eleven, foodpanda, panda mart, panda shops, Gojek, Singtel and SimplyGo — a list, not a category, so the rate follows the shop rather than what you bought. Rebates arrive as yuu Points, where 1 point is 0.5% back or 0.28 miles per S$1. Annual fee S$196.20. Source: dbs.com.sg DBS yuu Card page, read 18 Sep 2026.

Knowing the rate is not the same as remembering it
PayperWIZ holds the cards you actually own and names the right one at the till — after the cap you have already used this month, and after the foreign-currency fee. It works offline and never connects to a bank.
