SpendingRateMonthly cap
MakeMyTrip hotel bookingstravel6.00%—MakeMyTrip hotel bookings. Paid as myCash, which spends on MakeMyTrip and nowhere else.
travel3.00%—MakeMyTrip flights, buses and cabs, also as myCash.
everything else1.00%—Everything else, including anything bought outside MakeMyTrip.
6% back on MakeMyTrip hotel bookings, 3% on flights, buses and cabs, 1% on everything else — and ICICI prices it itself, crediting the points to a MakeMyTrip account as myCash at a rupee each, which is why these are percentages rather than points. The catch is where myCash spends: MakeMyTrip and nowhere else. It does not expire, which is unusual and stated on the page. The line worth more than any of the rates is the foreign markup: 0.99%, against the 3.5% ICICI charges on Coral, Rubyx and Sapphiro. On this card 1% back abroad very nearly covers the fee; on those three it does not come close. Rs 999 plus GST, waived on Rs 3 lakh of annual spending, plus Rs 1,000 of MakeMyTrip vouchers on each of the joining and annual fees. Source: icicibank.com's own page for the card, read 19 Sep 2026.
