What it pays, by category

SpendingRateMonthly cap
online and delivery1.00%—Online spending. IDFC pays 2% on whatever passes ₹10,000 in a statement cycle, which this entry does not hold.
everything else1.00%—In-store purchases and everything else eligible, inside the ₹500 a cycle the whole card is limited to.
government0.50%—Utility bills and government services, at half the base rate.
rent and property0.50%—Rent, at half the base rate.
A card for somebody with no credit file: it is secured against a fixed deposit from ₹5,000, the deposit keeps earning interest, and the limit is the whole of it. What it pays is capped at ₹500 a statement cycle across everything together, which is the number to hold onto — at 1% that ceiling arrives at ₹50,000 of spending and the card pays nothing after it. Online spending doubles to 2% past ₹10,000 in a cycle, and this app cannot express a rate that improves partway through a month, so it holds the 1%. Rent, utilities, wallet loads, insurance, jewellery and government services earn half a percent and do not count towards that ₹10,000. Nothing at all on fuel-adjacent EMI, cash withdrawals, or UPI paid through Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm — only IDFC's own app. Zero foreign markup, lifetime free.
